Thank you for visiting ForUsandByUs.com.
This website was created to support the United Nation’s International Decade for People of African descent.
Globally, Africans in the diaspora are not a monolithic group and are spread across many continents. In North America, there are 39 million from the African Diaspora; 113 million in Latin America; 13.6 million in the Caribbean; and 3.5 million in Europe.
It is incredibly unfortunate the experiences and difficulties those of African descent face in the world every day. Individuals of African descent are suppressed and deemed “less than” or somehow innately subhuman and it is a shame that in this time where “humanity” as a whole faces paramount conditions that such remedial thinking and behavior persists.
People of African descent constitute some of the poorest and most marginalized groups with limited access to quality education, health services, housing and social security. Additionally, this community is subjective to and experience unprecedented discrimination in their access to justice, and face alarmingly high rates of police violence, together with racial profiling.
ForUsandByUs.com believes in the power of “One” to the collective and is dedicated to making the global community of African descendants aware that we are “one” and only “together” can we make a difference and overcome these inequities.
Our motto is “Your Click Matters” and by viewing, sharing as well as registering on ForUsandByUs.com you will be expressing support and empowering people of African descent throughout the world.
Only together and through your “Click” are we going to make a substantial impact toward the global equity of people African descent.
